Pocketbook Filemanager

Hello, I have a Pocketbook Inkpad Color 2 and I am looking for a file manager.

I want to be able to see and edit (for example rename, move) all files on the Pocketbook.

Does anyone know a way how to do this?

Possibly also via another way than a file manager?

Thank you!

Use Calibre. It doesn't operate on the file names (not 100% sure), but on metadata like book title, author, etc, which matters most. Also, if you create any folders, they won't be synced via Pocketbook Cloud—that is, if you're using it. Collections are synced, though.

Thanks i will look at Calibre. But i want to see all Files on the e-reader directly, without connecting the device to a computer.

You can install PBTerm and see what you can via a command-line interface. Note that you won't be the root user, so the operating system files won't be modifiable by you, and some my not even be visible. You would need to gain root access to do that.

You can install KOReader (there is already a nightly version compatible with this model) and use its file manager, at least for the most basic functions.

(I imagine that Vlasovsoft's software, which includes a file manager, will also work).

Thank you! I installed the KOReader nightky and it works for my usecase. Only the wifi does not work with the nightly version. But that seems to be known and hopefully fixed in the stable version.

Unless there is a specific problem with this model, Wi-Fi should work if you have it turned on and active in the PocketBook system before opening KOReader. You can then control it from KOReader.

EDIT: just spotted Cellaris mentioned this above...

There's a useful little app bundle from the guy that developed PBChess, contains a File Explorer and Text Editor (and a few other games).
