Rename Book title/Author?

I have a Kobo Libra and some of my side-loaded books had messed-up Titles and Authors. I can't see a way to edit them on the device itself even though I have KoReader and Plato installed. Is there any way to do this on the device itself?

I fix these things in Calibre in its metadata editor. Delete the book from the e-reader (after pulling it into Calibre) then fix it there, then put it back on the e-reader. If you bought the book then look at the Apprentice Alf DeDRM plugin which will remove the DRM; the DRM will prevent you from editing the metadata.

Thank you. Calibre has an awful GUI which breaks all Apple's guidelines and conventions as far as I can see. That makes it a monumental pain to use. But I guess I'll try.

If the file name is the issue, you can rename the file in the KOReader File Browser. Just long press on the file listing.

I suspect the issue lies in the metadata, though, not the filename

For the metadata, for epubs, it probably depends on if there is a metadata.epub.lua file in its .sdr folder. You would have to be motivated enough to make changes to that using your PC/Mac. It could be a way to address the issue for those who don't want to use calibre.
