Calibre/Kindle News: Remove All Back Issues

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me please?

I use Calibre with my Kindle to 'Schedule News Downloads', and when I connect the Kindle they seem to automatically go to the device. That's great.

However, I ususally find that there are then loads of back issues of each publication - a (2) or a (3) or even a (17) appears after the title to indicate how many 'old newspapers' I'm still carrying around. Not a huge problem - I just have to long press on each title and press 'remove all back issues'.

I feel like there must be an easier way though: In the function to 'move new news publications to a kindle that's just been plugged in', is there a setting for 'and remove any back issues' please?

Many TIA.

Sam.

Wow a reply from Kovid himself! I'm honoured... Thank you so much. And thank you for making calibre. Its... Incredible.

So... As I understand, there's no way to set calibre to automatically remove back issues when it sends new issues to the device?
