Calibre Editor randomly adding spans
I'm compiling an ebook in Scrivener (.epub), and I want to finish the styling in Calibre Editor.
However, when I bring in the .epub, Calibre is adding these spans to the book: <span style="color: #0C0C13"> the rest of the paragraph...... </span> That's showing up in some, but not all of the paragraphs. I've simplified the CSS coming out of Scrivener as much as I possibly can. The color change on the body text only appears in Calibre. If I view the book in Book (on Mac) or Kindle Preview, the text color change isn't there. Anyone know why that might be happening? |

The calibre editor does not do *any* changes to your book file apart from updating metadata when you open a book.

Epubs are zip files. Try unpacking the epub file that Scrivener created, i.e. one that hasn't been near calibre, to a folder. Then look at one of the 'offending' xhtml files with a regular text editor - don't be surprised if you find the curious color spans.
