[Published Date] question

I have a 181-book series that was published monthly from 1933 - 1948. As you can imagine, Metadata is pretty much non-existent. I've managed to get them in series order, but I'd like to include the Published Date as well.

Is there any way to batch add the Published Date information, incrementing by Month from March 1933 - September 1948? Or, do I just need to edit the Metadata individually for each book?

There's no out-of-the-box way to do it, but if you know how to script, you can use the calibredb command to do it. https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/gen...calibredb.html

Unfortunately, scripting is something I never learned. Thank you for your response , though.

One possible solution for this without scripting:
  • export you data to csv using calibre catalogue feature.
  • add the pubdates in a spreadsheet. (You can google how to increment by month using excel).
  • save the spreadsheet as csv.
  • update book metadata in calibre by re-importing the csv using the Import List plugin.
