I'm a bit on the fence about it. The books are super meta, especially the latter half of book 3 is super high-concept. Not sure if an adaption fits the stories well.

I gave up on book 3. I got fed up with the misery of chemo and suicide and tthe story seemed to reach its natural end by book 2. Is book 3 worth persevering with? It seemed to be going nowhere slowly and miserably.

Book 3 has a conclusion that brings the story to the ultimate end. I the ending depressing and uplifting at the same time. I think your enjoyment of the book largely depends on if your main interest is in the story and meta aspects or the characters.
