Browser in Firmware 4.23.15505

With Firmware 4.23.15505 on my Clara HD, I cannot find anyway to escape the experimental browser.

I use the browser to download books from my server. Tonight is the first time I have downloaded a book since I updated to the new firmware. I downloaded a couple of books, but can now find no way to escape out of the browser - there seems to be no way to get back to the Clara's home page (top left is now the clock). (Even if I open one of the downloaded books using the search function, within the book the back link only takes me back to the browser).

I am sure there must be an exit (other than forcing a shutdown of the reader), but I cannot see/find it.

Please, someone enlighten me on what is almost a certainly a glaring oversight on my part.

Weird. When I open the web browser, there is no clock on the screen and there is an X in the upper right corner. When I tap that X, the browser closes.

Ok, thanks for that.

I wonder if the prescence of the clock in my UI may be because I open the browser directly through a NickelMenu link?

I will reboot and open the browser the "traditional" way and see if the clock disappears from the left corner.

Yep, opening the browser directly through NickelMenu is the problem for me.

Thank you DNSB.

I will admit that this is the type of issue reporting that gets to me.

The issue is posted as being a Kobo issue. It's not until additional questioning is done that it is discovered the poster has a modified device, and the issue is NOT with the Kobo code rather it's with the modification.

Thank you DNSB.
I did put a note about this in the release notes and documentation, along with how to solve it. @sherman has responded in the NM thread, and I've also responded to a similar question in the GH issues too.

Many apologies - I saw the "no changes are required to your configuration files" and stopped there. My very basic error in ignoring lesson one - "read the manual first!"
