Is there a way to stop when i click on a book in the list it opens as though i want to read it. I dont want to read it I just want to edit some of the meta data

I'm new with Calibre. I set up Calibre and downloaded a few books . When I open a book the book is listed as e book viewer [KF8:joint]. I can read the book on the page. I want to read the book on my Kindle.

When I see my list of books on Calibre how do I then move them to Kindle (mobi).

How do you select using email to send a book to a friend or my self.

Most Kindles sold in the last 5 years can use AZW3 (KF8)

Preferences: Sharing by email is how you set up Where (and which FORMAT...) to Send. (upper area)
The Lower section is where you set your choice of email services (ISP, GMX...) (might be needed to get thru your and the internet providers firewalls)
