What to call humans born on the moon?

https://www.floridatoday.com/story/n...ed/5307572002/ Saw this article and wondered what Mobilereaders would think. If thinking globally, I’d go with Earthling/Moonling. If thinking nationally what would you call an American, a German, a Brit, a New Zealander, etc., born on the moon? Do you prefer lunan or lunatic as a suffix? ? Maybe you prefer Greek goddesses and would choose Selenan. Or maybe after a lifetime of reading sci-fi, you know exactly what humans born on the moon should be called. Yes. I have too much time on my hands. If you are still social distancing, haven’t gone back to work, are retired, have read the whole internet, cleaned out all your cupboards, closets and the garage, and are tired of pulling weeds and need a distraction from the news, maybe you’ll come up with a few good suggestions and we can have our own poll which will of course include Blue One next to the Fish as the odds on favorite. |

Looks like I was beat to it... I was gonna say "Loonies", though I guess that would be confused with Canadian currency. |

I seem to remember an old sci-fi story that used the word "Lunarian" to refer to citizens of the moon. Can't remember the title or author -- this was about forty-odd years ago now. I think it might have been in a golden age anthology I found at the library; I read tons of that stuff back then. Hardly anybody ever checked them out but Mrs. Davis always kept an eye out for them for me. If it was in any way weird and crossed her desk, she knew for certain I'd be interested.

Selenites was good enough for H.G.Wells, so that seems appropriate!
