Hello! I am a fairly good user at Calibre. I keep trying new things. I currently have calibre hooked up to the cloud to auto convert for me and have many gadgets and cool things with calibre. When using calibre, due to the fact that I have it hooked up to the cloud, I need the library in the files locations to be nice and clean and easy to use. I didn't like the default output for the subfolders of calibre.
The default is: {author_sort}/{title}/{title} - {authors}. I changed it to: {author}/{series}/{title}. This is the order that I would like to have it in. However, I can not find a way to auto update and make all my current files and folders change to this new template. How can I auto update the whole file system? |

Look, I understand that. However, since I am hooking calibre to the cloud, I am able to access the file system on any device that has internet. Therefore, I need to make it organize better on the file system itself. Calibre gives that option and I am simply asking how to use it. I got my subfolders fixed to author/series/title. I now need it to refesh and auto fix the file system on my computer, which will in return, fix everything on all my devices.

Calibre gives you the option to export files using whatever file names and folder structure you like using the "Save to disk" function. It does NOT allow the folder/file structure of the actual calibre library to be altered in any way.
Also, having your calibre library in cloud storage (as opposed to syncing it to cloud storage when not in use by calibre) will eventually lead to data corruption. Last edited by jhowell; 08-11-2020 at 09:50 AM. |
