Question Compiling 1.20 for 32-bit Windows?

Searching the archives returned no hits.

Sigil 1.20 is not avaible for Windows 32 bits. Is there a tutorial on how to compile (without being an expert)?

The docs for building Sigil on Windows works for both 32 and 64 bits.

If you're not dead set on using Sigil 1.20, there's a 32-bit 0.9.13 Legacy version of Sigil in DiapDealer's repository that should work fine: https://github.com/dougmassay/legacy...es/tag/v0.9.13

Thanks, but the idea was using the latest and greatest instead of 0.9.13 from 2019 if it still compiles for Win32.

If source code is no longer compilable for that platform, I'll use 0.9.13 until I get the courage to move the whole shebbang to a newer computer.

To be fair: instructions for building Sigil on Windows for complete beginners could run to 100 pages or more. My instructions are always going to assume readers already have a passing to moderate familiarity with C++ compilation on Windows. For those that don't have that, Sigil probably isn't the best jumping on point to learn. Mainly because of multiple dependencies and very specific environment requirements.

There's plenty of much easier tutorials/projects out there to help beginners get up to speed.
