I work from home and I was recently looking for a way to show if I am busy based on my google calendar.
![]() I came across https://getjoan.com/shop/joan-home/ But, it is $250 for the cheapest model and has a subscription. ![]() I realized that I can get a refurbished Kindle for $60 on Amazon. I can probably get a used one for even cheaper. I have seen hacks on this forum for weather and calendars. Most of them require a server either on the Kindle (battery prohibitive) or on the local network. But, from what I can tell the reason is because of the weather integration for the most part. I was wondering if there is standalone way to display a google calendar. While the functionality of the Joan would be great in the sense of changing the screen completely when I am in a meeting. I am ok with simply showing my daily events. I was think it could update once every 5 or 10 minutes to save battery. But, catch any last minute changes to my schedule. Thanks to all in advance for any help. ![]() P.S. If this is the wrong place to post this request, please let me know the appropriate place. |
