Calibre windows and stay-on-top
I have a third-party program that adds a 'stay-on-top' button to all the windows which is very useful sometimes. I like to use it on the edit metadata window sometimes when I'm referencing a book online.
However, when I click back to the edit metadata window, Calibre itself pops up in the foreground. (FanFicFare's 'download from URLs' window does this too.) Is there a way to make it stay politely in the background? ![]() |

If the utility that provides the Stay on Top feature provides a Roll Up/Down feature (shrink/expand to the title bar), use it before opening the Metadata Edit Dialogue Tool with the keyboard shortcut. When you're done use the Roll Down feature. I use Actual Tools extra Buttons tool, viz: BR |

I use the free version of 4t Tray Minimizer and it does have a rollup feature. I've not really used it before but I'll enable it.
