calibre-server.exe: automatically use settings from gui?

If I run calibre-server.exe independently of the gui, it seems that I have to specify every commandline option and no settings are carried over from the gui. Is there a way to just tell calibre-server to read and use the gui server settings?

No, I'm afraid not the standlaone server is meant to be completely independent of the GUI.

My guess is that when clicking 'start server' from the gui, it runs the standalone with all the required parameters. Anyway we can expose all those parameters so we can replicate it for the standalone?

Nope, it doesn't. It's run in process. One could of course write a tool to export GUI settings to command line flags, but no such tool currently exists.
