KV Kindle Voyage bricked

Hello the community !

(As I am new here I hope I post on the good part of the website... If not I apologize)

I was the happy owner of a Kindle voyage
Using Calibre for a huge collection of SF books that don't exist anywhere else than on a defunct website of ePub... (that I saved hehe)

A year ago I was using Calibre to transfer books and then my kindle was bricked.
It is always in the start screen with the three etc.

If I do the recommended reset of 40sec it is just going to the same place again.

When connecting to a windows pc it is charging and when rebooting 40sec on the PC it seems to connect and I see the folders but it disconnect right after.
So no way to modify anything

I think the Kindle OS is completely screwed up (I had to use an old Mac when doing the transfer and maybe something went wrong because of that... I don't know)

Since I have bought a new one in order to read but there is someone that would like to have a kindle and I hate the idea of a bricked 200 bucks device.

My Kindle is out of warranty so all I was offered by amazon was 15% of a new device....

I am willing to do anything (even open it if necessary even if I can see that it would even more difficult than when I repasted my MacBook lol)

Would you have some insight on how to make this kindle great again ?

Debugging/Fixing a bricked kindle is really hard if you don't give us any pictures of the device (what kind of brick, which screen it was stuck on) so I suggest you do that.
