Font won't embed
I have a proprietary font that embeds perfectly into EPUB, but when I try converting it to MOBI, the font is skipped. I check the metadata in the EPUB and the font is properly referenced there.
Any idea how to proceed? |

The original MOBI format does not support embedded fonts. You need to use the newer AZW3 (KF8) or KFX formats.

Actually, as of about 6 months ago or so, Kindle was updated to accept embedded fonts and even allow users to use their own default font embedded in the file. Personally, I have used proprietary fonts for several books now.
But the problem, as I stated, is only with ONE of the fonts. The others in this particular case (none of which are among Kindle's defaults) embed fine. |
