Mapleread Verification code

Hmm.

Just paid $7.99 for this MapleRead SE. Trying to create an account to sync across devices. Entered my email address. Message says verification code was sent.

It is now 30 minutes and still no verification code. And yes, I have checked my junk folder.

I've tried several times and haven't received an email with the code.

Any suggestions?

On their website, in the FAQ section there’s a support email address that might be worth trying if still nothing?

Thanks for this. I did reach out using the support email.

There was an issue with the verification code email not coming until hours later after clicking on send code. Finally got it sorted out but the server is still taking a long time to send the verification email.

We got there in the end but a very frustrating process.

On the brighter side, I purchased the app and it is extremely good! On par if not a little bit better than Marvin (but then again, Marvin hasn't been updated for a while).

Since the verification code comes by email, the delay depends on both their email server and your email server. So either email server may be the one that should be blamed. Anyway, this tends to be intermittent problem. I don't recall having this kind of delay problem when I registered.

By the way, unlike some other ereaders, you don't need to register to use any feature unless you want to sync.

You obviously don’t live in Australia. That’s the price of the app here: AUD7.99.

My email address is an iCloud address. I don’t care what the reason was, I was simply describing my experience with the registration process. The worst I’ve ever come across.

As to the cost of the App, worth every cent! It is a brilliant app. Highly recommend it to anyone wishing to have control over their ebook collection and their reading experience.

My comment about the email delay is just common sense. Anyone who is not frustrated at the moment can easily think of it.

I am a fan, not the developer.

Just in case anyone was wondering, AUD 8 is near enough USD 5.5 at the moment, and the explanation about either email server being the “same kind of wording” is simply that at a high level of abstraction, for email, there’s not much scope for things to vary as that’s how it works!
