Kindle Unlimited Books need to be deleted

Sorry if this isn't the right place, but it does have to do with my Kindle, and Kindle for PC.

For the past month or so, any Kindle Unlimiteds I return must be manually delted from all devices. They stay after being returned, they are NOT still listed in C&D, but any PC or Kindle apps or devices that had the book downloaded will continue to have the book, fully able to open and read. This is not right after returning the book and the app needing to sync, this is days later. Unless I manually delete the book (that option exists in place of returning to KU or removing from device) the book continues to be available.

I don't think that Amazon would have an answer to this, so I figured your guys (developers) might know about it.

I noticed with library loans the books stay there till I go to amazon.com then to content and devices and manually delete them. What annoys me is if i return a book it eventually disappears off of all my devices except for tablets, the book image seems to stay forever.

Yeah, I knew that, but what I was talking about was the actual book that I got from Kindle Unlimited staying with me on the devices after I returned it to Amazon.

Strange. I have no idea of what could be causing that or how to fix it.

(I just tried and it works fine for me. Kindle Unlimited books disappear from Kindle for PC at the next sync after they are returned.)

Often, you need to delete borrowed books twice. It will seem to be cleared after the first deletion, but will remain in your "holdings" unless you exit Manage My Content and Devices, and go back to re-delete it.

It sounds similar, or the same, as an issue I reported last year in Feb 2019. The problem has improved for me over time, although not all the bugs. I think software has just been glitchier over the past year or something. I could not find a solution, it just started clearing up (sometimes) --- my post here, https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...08&postcount=2 My 2nd post here was the issue with KU books not clearing. Mine could still be opened and read once returned when bugging out.
