And now there is a new problem. The recipe is downloading multple copies of many articles. And this is making the download huge (1GB+)

I'm still getting about 1GB daily. without images and without duplicate articles. Is there a way to trim that recipe so it gets only sections that I may want?

Is there a simple way to edit the recipe so it only includes articles from today? I am noticing that many of the articles are from a day or more earlier than the download date.
