Displaying series is a jumble

I’m sure I have something set incorrectly. When I filter for series using the web interface, the server sorts all my books by series, running them all together, instead of showing me a list of series. Worse, it seems to include all books that are NOT in a series as individual series. Alphabetically. Mingled with all the other series. At least that’s what I think it’s doing. It seems odd behavior for a default state. How do I configure it to just list the series by series name first? I’d like to look at one series at a time as I can do with the desktop application. Thanks!

filtering and sorting are two different operations. Which one are you doing? If you want the displayed list of book ssorted by series, you click the sort icon and choose series. If you want to filter for a particular series you click the search icon and then series and then a particular series.

To use your terminology, I'm sorting. I click on the sort icon, select "series", then the books are all listed, presumably, by series, except that there are hundreds of books in my collection all listed alphabetically as individual single book series! However, your suggestion to use search instead was what I was looking for: a list of book series. Thank you.
