To save or to splurge?

I've been thinking of getting an e-reader recently, and am very much confused when it comes to which one to buy. I have never owned an e-reader before, so this will be my first buy. I am unsure if I should go for the cheaper Pocketbook Touch Lux 4, or if I should spend more money and get the Kobo Libra. I am concerned about the screen cracking, I will most definitely buy the protective cover with my device, but I would still like to know which one is sturdier and has a better build quality (from what I've gathered so far, Pocketbooks tend to be lighter and flimsier, but I have never held one, so I'm not sure). I take very good care of my devices, but sometimes accidents happen.

Basically, the screens all come from the same source so no difference in screen durability. The one exception for 6-8" devices is the Kobo Forma which has an eInk Mobius screen with a plastic substrate instead of a thin glass substrate.

So pick the one that you are comfortable with, get a decent case and you should get years of reading.

BTW, you might want to add your location to your profile. Advice to someone in North America, Europe, Japan, etc. will differ. My guess is that you are in Europe but that's a guess.

Thank you for your reply. I have added in my location, and yes, you were right. I am from Europe. I have access to both of these devices, so it should not be a problem for me to get either of them.
