Home Page / "From Your Library"

I use the Kindle android app on a Google Nexus 7 (2013) 7" tablet.

Last couple of days whenever I send a book to my kindle account (using either email or the Send to Kindle PC app), it appears in the library fine but not in the "From Your Library" on the front page.

It still doesnt appear once i've opened it and am reading it. I have to keep going into Library to get to it.

I've managed to get ones already sent to show by going into the app settings and clearing the cache/data (basically resetting the app to factory settings) but they still dont appear whenever a new one is sent... Obviously it isn't practicle to do this every time.

My friend is having the same issue on a Fire HD10.

Neither of us are doing anything different to what we have done in the past (converting to mobi via Calibre).

I wish there were a way to disable Home like you can on a Kindle. It mostly just shows you stuff Amazon wants you to look at. But you can mostly avoid it by always opening a book from Library: when you close the book, it will land back in Library.

I don’t mind browsing of my own volition but the presentation of Home is not useful to me. They can keep all of it on Discover tab.

On iOS you can avoid Home/Library entirely and jump between 3 most recently books Using the Kindle widget. Android has widgets but they work differently.
