Troubleshooting Help with Send to Kindle

Hello!

Hope everyone is well and keeping healthy. Was really hoping someone could help me out as I just don't know what to do.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite which I received for Christmas, and everything about it is great, except for one thing: I can't seem to make the Send to Kindle function work.

I've downloaded Calibre to manage my books, and more importantly, manage my newspaper/magazine subscriptions. It's the only way I've found to avoid having to pay a second time for a Kindle subscription. Calibre has a great feature where you can auto schedule to send these newspapers and magazines to your Kindle, via the Send to Kindle function. Except mine doesn't seem to work and I don't understand why!

The email address I've given the program is my personal email, which I've added to my Allowed Personal Email list for my Kindle. I've given it my personal Kindle email. When I run a test, it seems to work. But whenever I try and send a book to my kindle via email, it never shows up. I don't know why and I've tried using a different email, I've tried resetting the kindle. Nothing seems to work.

Are you looking in the DOCS and not BOOKS in the sort options on the Kindle itself?

Calibre help has a page for this. If I remember, you need a free email account for calibre to use that Amazon wont ignore? Look through the calibre help.

That being said, I got it to work. But then it failed last time I tried. Since I just send books, I manually use my gmail account to send them, until I have time to try to fix it.

Perhaps a bit off topic, but some subscriptions can be accessed for free on Amazon. I am a subscriber to Wired magazine and am able to get the Amazon equivalent for free because of that.

I couldn't get the calibre send to kindle to work either. I also use gmail to send pdfs to my kindle. Don't forget to put "convert" in the subject line.

*edit*
This thread also reminded me of the send to goodreads functions. While attempting to share, there is a share to "twitter" checkmark. Both functions appear to not be working.
