multiple corrections

Hello,
Since I have to develop a library of over 33 thousand books, in order to facilitate my work and, I imagine, also that of many others, can I ask that the following changes be made to Caliber and that they act on all the selected books?
- when editing the metadata, insert a row to clear the Ids fields.
- activate a function that changes the "preserveAspectRatio" fields from "none" to "yes".
- the possibility of removing all the integrated fonts and changing them to another font.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Gianni

Your 3rd image will result in a invalid argument. (It is not a True/False)

Code:
 preserveAspectRatio="xMidYMid meet"
There are already Bulk tools for replacing covers using the current proportions rules.

theducks I'm sorry for my ignorance about this wonderful program and thank you very much for your trick, only one question: where I can put this code?

My error: The second image. you already circled it in red.
the bottom value was just wrong (yes is not valid), it is not a True false value.

use the value I showed to keep aspect and center (there are other values if you look up more about SVG. The don't do what you wanted. The original 'none' just said: 'do nothing (else) to the image'.

hi theducks,
thanks, perfect, now i understand what is the value to use. My question is: if I select "n" books, is it possible to change the value of their preserveAspectRatio fields to "xMidYMid meet" at all at once?
Thanks again and bye,
Gianni

Your screenshot in the first post is for the cover. If that is what you want to fix, then you should be able to use Polish books for that, or the Modify ePub plugin. These use the default conversion settings. You can set these through the Preferences. Go to the Output options and then select epub. Select the "Preserve cover aspect ratio" option and make sure the "No SVG cover" option is not selected.

@gianni_1, I am curious, where did you get over 33 thousand eBooks?

At this point, I tend to wonder about your answer since it sounds suspiciously as if these books are obtained from pirate sites.

I don't have 33,000 ebooks, but I do have over 13,000. But "ebook" is just the format. Mostly these are research and work related documents, regulations, procedures, etc that were odt files but ones that I saved conveniently as mobi files.

I really like the way Calibre manages these "ebooks" for me. It's not just great for novels and such, but it's also a great way for me to organize my documents, retrieve them from the built-in Calibre server, etc.

I'm close to the same neighbourhood when it comes to the number of ebooks in my personal collection. I also set up another collection with about 15,000 documents which is work related and now managed by our corporate librarian.

It wasn't the size of the collection that bothered me, it was the "anywhere in the digital world of the web..." answer given by gianni_1. To me that did not suggest a collection of legitimately obtained ebooks. Sadly, I had already believed my quota of impossible things before breakfast so reverted to my cynical self.

Hi DNSB,
I don't understand what your interest is in knowing which ebooks I have and where I got them from. In any case I can tell you that they have all been legally collected and that they are (in addition to all the publications of my research institute and CERN), all the Latin, Greek and Italian classics that I managed to find and all the scientific publications on topics such as geology, physics, astronomy, biology etc. found on dozens of sites sites such as: https://www.academia.edu/
I hope you can sleep better now ...

Your numbers were unusual and just triggered the watch dog response. In this case, it appears to be a false positive.

We are very protective of MR.
We do not want the copyright police knocking at the server room door to impound equipment for supporting Piracy,
