Touchscreen function not working properly

Even since I was using the previous version (I think 2.2) of my Note device, I experienced a software malfunction: sometimes the touch function of the screen was not activated. I could not start any application or turn the pages of a book in NeoReader except using the stylus. After the first or second restart, the function recovered on its own. Now with version 2.3 this happens more often. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Could it be from another setting that I had accidentally activated and forgot about it? ... The icon with the touch screen activation in the status bar is not pushed. Can anyone help me with some advice?
