Date field in book browser is wrong

Hello,
I just added a bunch of books and the Date field in the browser window had values that were in Nov 2014. The strangest thing is that they were not all the same date....there were some 4s, 5s, 6s etc

I thought that date represented the date that you added the books to the collection....that is what it always seemed to be previously to today.

Maybe the books already existed, and you have the Preferences->Adding books->Adding actions->Auto-merge added books if they already exist: setting checked, and the associated action set to Overwrite existing duplicate formats.

Date is the Date the Metadata Record was create, Not always when a Format was added.

As BR points out: Updating a format will not change DATE.

Last_modified will change with ANY activity that affects the book or metadata
