Aura H2O 2 Aura H2O freezing after page turns

My Aura H2O 2nd edition started freezing after about 1-2 taps. I think it began after I updated the firmware to the most recent, as it was working fine a few weeks ago.

I did a repair which didn't help, then a factory reset which also didn't help. When it freezes, it takes about 15 seconds to unfreeze. If I've tapped more than once while frozen, it'll jump ahead when it wakes up.

Sometimes the blue light flashes a few times and it restarts. It's okay again for a few taps, then we're right back to frozen.

I've used 3.1GB of the 8 on board.

I'm not sure what else I can try - suggestions? The reader is just over a year old.

My Aura H2O 2nd edition also freezes periodically, not just with the recent update, but since I first bought it about eighteen months ago. It seems to happen more with some e-books than others, and more with a borrowed Overdrive library e-book than with one purchased from Kobo. My fix is to close the sleep cover and wait about thirty seconds, or else press the power button. It can be annoying, but so far it's really the only complaint I've got with the Aura H2O.

That sounds like a long standing bug relating to selecting text or swiping. I could trigger something that sounds like that by selecting from right-to-left. Or a slower right-to-left swipe. The device would hang but, putting it to sleep and waking it, using either the cover or power button, would get it working. I think it might have happened when the speed I moved my finger was on the border between what was considered a swipe, and what was needed for selection. This has happened on all of my devices.

The problem has been getting better with the recent firmware, and I can't think of the last time I triggered it. That might be because I have trained myself not to do it, but, I also think the recent changes in the firmware have improved it. It won't surprise me to much if it still happens, but is just harder to trigger.

Yes, right to left selection, common when selecting from in a line to earlier in the next line causes touch to hang on older FW. The H2O original far more prone than the Libra. Also occurred on with same FW that was really bad on the Kobo Touch. The Home button on Touch and Page buttons on Libra still worked. Sleep (for count of 20) & wake reset the problem.
The original FW on the H2O original didn't have this bug.
The current *.622 seems OK, but I mostly use the Libra now and the screen died on the Touch (it was the worst eink I'd ever seen for ghosting).
