Where are images stored in Calibre?
Hello all,
I'm working on an ebook in Word/DOCX, then converting to epub format with Calibre, and it's working really really well, with the exception of the images. Even though I have disabled Word's "Image Size and Quality" processing, it is still messing with the images, visibly degrading them. When I replace the images with the originals in the Calibre editor, they become visibly better. I have quite a few images in my book, and I would prefer to not have to replace each one individually. Is it possible to batch-replace the images, or perhaps put the original images in a folder in Calibre somewhere so that it pick them up and replace the inferior Word images automatically?

Make sure your output profile is set to tablet when converting to prevent calibre from resizing images.

On the subject, (I think) Calibre renames images from jpg to jpeg. In my dealings with images, "jpeg" isn't used much at all.
I see that I can change the extensions in the editor, but is it possible to stop Calibre renaming in the first place? |

Re images, and at the risk of a bit of thread drift, (I think) Calibre renames images from jpg to jpeg. Most of my dealings with jpegs have been using the jpg extension.
Is it possible to stop Calibre renaming the jpg image extensions, or is jpeg part of the epub standard? |
