I am amazed how they misrepresent the facts. "all televisions will switch from analog to digital." I don't think my TV set will automatically switch to digital. What they should say is all US TV broadcasts will switch to digital.

Also your TV will not quit working. It will continue to work as it was designed to. There just will be no analog broadcast signals in the US your analog TV to receive.



Maybe I'm just picky & literal being an engineer. My peculiar rant & vent.

Ever since they've been advertising this I've been annoyed... It would be fun to find out how many millions of converter boxes have been sold to people that didn't need them.

What irritates me is when people say you'll need a HDTV to view the digital broadcasts. It's not so bad coming from your average joe/jane, but freaking store employees are repeating this BS too!
