Automatically exiting Calibre on system idle

Is there a way of exiting Calibre after 30 minutes of system idle? (windows)

Write a batch file that runs

calibre.exe --shutdown


in response to whatever event you like

Thanks--is it OK to run 'calibre.exe --shutdown' even if Calibre is not running?
(I could check if it is running, but that adds another layer of complexity)

Yeah, it just does nothing if there's no calibre running.
