Save to Disk Keeping Metadata in File
Hi.
Just for a confirmation because I couldn't find it in the forum. When I save an epub, with the settings in the first attachment, I'll get all the metadata, including all my custom columns embedded in the epub? Also, why if I save a epub with cover separately (in the second attachment) does the cover not show up when I add the books to a library again? |

yes and you have to use add from folders one book per folder for the separate cover to be used when adding.

One more question:
When I save an epub with no cover/where I've removed cover, why does Calibre use the first page of the epub to create cover when it's added? It doesn't matter if it's one book per directory or multiple books per directory. |

Because that is what the cover of an EPUB is defined as in the absence of an actual cover image

Have I overlooked a Tweak to make sure it doesn't add/create any cover or could it be added?

If I use the same settings for saving txt-files does it still keep all the metadata like an epub would?

the txt format has no support for metadata.

Thanks again, then I'll need to save the opf file separately for my archive.
