I haven't ever heard of the devmode option before, is this new?

https://blog.the-ebook-reader.com/20...-new-easy-way/ I haven't enabled it on my Forma yet but I am intrigued about the orientation options that can be seen in the screenshot. I use my forma in my left hand with the buttons on the left. I would love it if there was an option for the Forma to default to that orientation without me having to wave it around until it changes orientation itself or if that isn't possible change the settings so that it pick up the orientation change quicker. If I enable it and muck thing up is there a way to get back to the default options? |

You must enter exactly the : devmodeon . to searching + enter *like he was looking for a book. Then you will see that it is enabled in the settings ;-) Last edited by Michal Jancik; 09-21-2019 at 06:04 AM. |

![]() All the options default to off. If you need to, just uncheck them. If you get desperate, you can delete the config file on the device. |

This is great news, thanks. I'm thinking of upgrading from my perfectly functional H2O2 to a Libra, and if I do, it will always be used in that same left-left configuration. It's nice to know I can set that as default.

Probably exactly what they say on the tin (i.e., tweak the Z axis setup of the accelerometer on the Forma/Libra, which affects the conditions that make it thinks the device is in a "normal" position (i.e., facing the user/on a flat surface), and what's facing the user, front or back).

TL;DR: You probably don't want to touch those .

Do any of you know if there are games on the old Kobos using this 'devmodeon'?

And for the record, the games have always been available on "old" Kobo devices without using developers mode. But, that assumes "old" is anything before the Glo HD. |
