using 4.9.1 on Win7 pro 64bit
I have Win7pro 64 bit. I am informed that I can upgrade to 4.9.1 BUT I am also informed that I must stay with 3.48. I get conflicting advice. Does any one know what I must do?

you can try 4.9.1 if you are lucky it will work if u r not then downgrade back to 3.48
|

The most common reason calibre 4.x won't work on Windows 7 is that the version of the Qt Framework that calibre 4.x uses for its UI heavy-lifting has problems with some old video drivers.
One the major changes in version 4 was to use a later version of Qt that allowed the webengine html renderer to replace the now defunct webkit. BR |
