Metadata Editor errors
Since recently I get the following error when I try to edit metadata with Metadata Editor:

P.S. I downloaded and installed the official Calibre package from the Calibre website and it works normally. It seems Arch & Manjaro packages are affected.

You should never download any Linux Calibre distro. Always download from the official Calibre website. Most distros are screwed up in some way.

There are only a few Linux distros that are even close to being current.
And those have members of this community doing the work At least use the Calibre site version when you have issues (to see if it was fixed or the distro folk Know Better ![]() |

Thanks for the info, guys.
Arch & Manjaro Calibre builds are relatively recent (usually 1-2 weeks behind). I hadn't experienced any problems with their builds up until now. I'll probably just stick with Calibre website version since it's now installed and running OK on my machine. |
