Converting PDF to MOBI images are misplaced
Hi. This is my first post here so bear with me, please. I have some books that are in PDF form and they contain images. For example, one of the books is "Blender for Dummies." This is a book that teaches readers how to use Blender which is a 3D modeling/animation software. There are pictures on the book that are designed to aid whatever is being discussed in the book. Often you'll get text that says, for example, "FIGURE 5-14: An edge ring selected on a UV sphere." And then the text continues for a couple of paragraphs before you see the actual image. The PDF is formatted so that the text is next to the image, whereas it seems randomly placed once I convert the PDF to MOBI, which is what I need for Kindle.
Side note: I know I can read a PDF on Kindle but I have vision issues and I can set the font size for MOBI books. So, I prefer MOBI. Is it possible to format a MOBI book so that the images and descriptions are located together? |

Now you get to learn the Calibre Editor
(The basic cut and paste is easy), but invest a bit of time and learn REGEX (there are tutorials here at MR, how I learned ![]() And find and Move the code block containing the Image to where it should be. Here is a sample of what one might look like: Code:
<div class="h100"> <img alt="" class="h100" src="../Images9780451477903_Flameout_TX.jpg"/> </div> |
