Minimized window

A few days ago when I opened Calibre, I got a new icon in the start bar, but no apparent window. If I hover over that icon, it shows a small open window as with any other program. But, if I hover over that small window, which normally blanks all other open windows and shows the location of the window, this one just blanks the screen and shows nothing. If I right click over that small window and pick maximize, then Calibre opens full screen, but if I then click to take it back out of full screen, it just disappears again. I have had other applications reduce themselves to a minimal bar which one can painfully then expand back to a full window, but here there is nothing.

I am running 4.6.0

This is the baffling 'Off screen' issue, that the Devs can't track down.
Full and partial screens can be on different monitors. The problem is, some folk never had that other monitor that now contains the view.
recovery (not full screen view): Alt+<spacebar> then M, then a bunch of Left Arrow keystrokes, so you can grab the window and drag it back home

Well, that's bizarre! But it works! Thanks.

FWIW, I do have two monitors, but Calibre is always on the left horizontal one, not the right portrait one. In this case, Calibre reappeared from the left of the left monitor.

From the Left??? all reports I have, it was way to the right (why I said to use Left arrow to bring it back).

I think there is some wrong variable in the QT graphics library part that only gets used occasionally, that writes a wrong value into the last screen location.

Yes! I do have more than 1 monitor, and it still happens.

Yes, the left. The little popup came up in the far upper left of the left monitor. I did a couple of left arrows, nothing happened, but then moved my mouse and it pulled the window from the left into the left monitor.
