I have searched for items on Viewer and find very few.
Therefore I ask one question.
It may be an option somewhere but I cannot find it.
The old viewer did show how many pages in the book/magazine being viewed. I found this very handy as sometimes an imported book was in fact only a few pages therefore useless.
Is this feature still available? If not, can it be returned?

You can set preferences on the ebook reader.
just open a book to read / click the header /preferences

Thanks for that information. I am definitely missing something. Where in Preferences is the place to show total pages in book/Magazine?

For the settings of the reader you need to open the reader first (not in the global preferences)
So "just open a book to read / click the header /preferences"

Note: For the toolbar, press CTRL+F11 when in the reader
