Glo HD GLo HD screen looks whitish around border. Any fixes?

My glo Hd screen looks whitish around the border. It started slightly whitish around border but now most of the screen looks whitish and almost not readable. I think some connection is loose or something. I am in India and hence no way for an official repair. Anyone has any idea how to fix or check this? Any pointers will be great, thank you.

It is very difficult to see in picture. The side of the screen looks like it got whitewashed. Currently the whole screen looks like someone tried to adjust brightness and it gone awry. I used the invert screen for it to be visible in pictures but normal looks whitewashed too.

Indeed, it is very difficult to read now. I don't know if anyone can help me fix this. It was working great till sometime back and no other issues whatsoever.

It seems some hardware issue, You could try a factory reset but I don't think it will be useful. Or You could call the Kobo customer service and ask them if there is something to do.

As a last resort if you get nowhere with resetting or customer support, you could widen the top and side margins so the text is away from the brighter areas at the edges. That would probably let you keep using the reader.

I'm assuming you tried lowering the light setting already to see if there was any improvement.
