Boox Note Pro?

I love the fact that it's a 10.3" reader. But I'm only looking for a reader and I don't care about note taking. I just want a device that will read everything (e.g. .epub, .azw3, .mobi,.pdf, etc.) at a reasonable size.

Is it overkill for just a reader?

I only know that my 6" reader is not cutting it and I'm not sure that 7.8" will cut it either.

I don’t think so. It is great for reading only imho.

No, it's not overkill. It's a reader with a light and has a nice feel to it.
If the size is acceptable to you, you have to decide if the price is right for you....

Why not look for a used Note Lite? There was one available in the Flea Market section a few days back

I have both the Note Pro and the Nova Pro.

I find that for casual reading of epubs, I prefer the size of the Nova Pro.

However, if I am reading PDFs, I much prefer the larger size of the Note Pro.

So, it probably comes down to what kind of reading you expect to be doing most on the device. If you read a lot of PDFs and manga, I would suggest the larger size ereader would better meet your needs.

And, as M4H35H posted, you could always look into getting a secondhand device.

I don't understand anything: there's a site in boox.com where you can order it from and it's said it's only for Europe and VAT is included.

But if you try to buy it, after two steps they say tariffs are not included.

Is it possible to charge VAT and not tariffs? I think it's a trick to increase its price 51$ more because if you don't say you're from Europe it costs 51$ less.

Well, I asked them and they said it ships from Italy and VAT is already charged. I asked later about guarantee and tariffs and they haven't answered yet.

Edit: guarantee is 1 year.
