Importing search and replace terms
Hi
I'm looking for some advice on using the search and replace options when converting e-books I have a list of spellings/words in a spreadsheet that I use in other programs and would like to be able to load this list into calibre. At the moment it's about 6000 entries long so it's rather impractical to re-type. If I click on the load file it seems to want to specific file format Calibri search and replace definitions file. Is it possible to convert my spreadsheet into an appropriate format to load into calibre. Thank you for any help and sorry if this has already been answered elsewhere |

If this was just a Spell check Dictionary (used in the editor)
(in the editor) Edit: Preferences: Editor Settings (side bar) Manage Spelling dictionaries (button): Manage user dictionaries (button): (see image) I really would not expect Conversion S&R to handle large lists beside, there probably MANY exceptions where change was inconvenient ![]() |

If the ebook files in question are EPUBs, another possibility might be to use the Sigil ePubTidyTool plugin. BR |
