Don't erase the book.

Hello people, is there any way that caliber does not delete the book from the original folder when adding it? I've tried disabling automatic addition and adding the book from the add book icon from the toolbar but it also deletes it. added configuration picture. Thank you

Calibre only deletes EXTERNAL books if that folder is set as the Automatic Add folder.

YOU are expected to drop a COPY there if you use that pathway to adding, otherwise, you should just use one of the normal add processes

@dunhill - read the ADVERTENCIA: In English it translates to

WARNING: Files in the specified folder will be deleted after being added to calibre

Thank you very much, as long as you don't put the folder path in automatic addition, it won't delete the book. And the option I have selected will be without effect. (view photo)

That whole tab should have no effect if there is no PATH entered.
I assume you were just looking about and ended up on that tab ?
