Viewer: page turn goes to next chapter

When using the built in E-book viewer to open AZW3 (KF8) files, when trying to turn the page it goes to the next section/chapter instead. This makes it impossible to read.

This issue does not appear when viewing the book converted to a different format. But converting is not an option for me, because calibre does not preserve the vertical text/layout, and the quality of embedded images is greatly decreased.

vertical text is not suported in the viewer either I am afraid.

The vertical (Japanese) text actually works with no problems in the viewer when opening AZW3 files. No issues with rendering, selecting text, or display of ruby characters (furigana).

The problem is that page turns skip right to the next section (either chapter start or an embedded image). Is there some kind of internal structure that is formatted incorrectly or something?

Somebody that understand how vertical text works is going ot have to write the code for scrolling in the presence of it.
