Huh. I have one kindle device that had the Amazon assigned email, and one that I had a kindle mail address I edited myself. Neither one worked. I was beginning to wonder if the fact that I first tried to send the book directly from the Baen Free Library, and then second from Calibre, might have been blocked at Amazon? I actually got no notices or requests from Amazon when the email from kindle was sent from Baen or Calibre. It seemed like they were just blocked and ignored. But the ones sent from my gmail app on my pc got the Amazon response.

https://www.baen.com/t-ereaderinstructions Emailing books directly to your Kindle 10.Click “Email book to Me” 11.Enter your personal email address into the email address box 12.Press send 13.Check your email. You should receive an email from Ebooks@baen.com with a .mobi file attached. 14.Forward this email to your Kindle, making sure the .mobi file remains attached. Within 15 minutes, your Ebook should be on your Kindle. == As I recall, Amazon started to apply a daily? limit on total emails from Baen so there was no problem early in the day but later emails were dropped. I suppose the limit could apply to the emails using Calibre if there were hundreds of them. Last edited by Little.Egret; 11-17-2019 at 07:33 PM. |

Just sorted through some stuff. My calibre generated email to kindle never went out - gotta solve that issue someday. My Amazon provided kindle email on one device accepted books with no warning email. The kindle email that I had edited for a second device generates a warning. It would appear Amazon has determined the slight modification from my regular email (so I could remember it) was not edited enough to be different enough. I am going to leave that one alone, since I can remember it, and use the other when I am on computer that has it memorized for me.
This way if I am away from home I can use the easy to remember but warning generating kindle adress. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |
