Link Between Books

Hello.

I was wondering if I could create a link between books, if one are a companion piece to another.

sadly, No.
OTOH Quickview will show all books with the selected field VALUE.
eg Series
QV only works with a limited set of standard fields

I do it via the [GUI Plugin] Entities Manager plugin.

I've been trying to figure out how to use that plugin earlier, but I couldn't figure it out.

Read the first few posts and try again.

If you're only interested in accessing the content of related books, and their aren't many of them, you could use a long text column with HTML file URIs to the other book folders. The long text editor link tool has a browse button to create the "file:\\\blah-blah" links. See attachment

Unfortunately you must browse to a file, I like to open the book folder when I click on the Link, so I chop off the file part of the path.

The Link will break if you change the book's Title or Author.

I've looked at the plugin now, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get it to do what I want.
