Calibre 4.2.0 Windows 64-bit unable to save metadata

Hi all - been using Calibre for years without issue, but on upgrading to ver 4.2.0 (Windows 64-bit) I can no longer edit/save metatdata. I've tried uninstall/reinstall, and the same with 4.1.x and get the same error each time (error log below). Can anyone help/suggest a fix please?

This kind of thing is almost always your security software blocking the temp file storage.
