How to display Metadata?

Back in the day, you know before version 4, a person could click on a button in the viewer to see the metadata as it would present in a reader.

With that button no longer available, I wonder if there is a way to view the metadata in version 4.

Have patience, old minds work slowly.

Where was this button?
You posted in EDITOR (T). That just inherits the metadata from the main GUI and I do not see any obvious UI changes since 3.x

Are you confusing the Viewer (V) with the Editor OR simply the Info panel (I)
BTW calibre just displays metadata. It makes no attempt to replicate a e-readers presentation (or lack thereof).

From the Viewer you can access the book's metadata via right-click > Go to > Metadata
