OSX 13.0.2 issue

I am on the latest OSX and Calibre releases. When editing a book and Calibre needs to redraw the edit and/or preview panels the process is very slow and no other widgets will respond to a mouse click. The delay can be up to 30 seconds. It has happened in several books so appears to be an operating system or qt issue. Does anyone else see this?

How big (# of Lines) is the section (file) you are working with?

I think you have found the answer. I should have thought about that. It is about 4,700 lines. A large history book. I will try a smaller book and look to split this file. Thanks for the assist.
