Error Message - help please
Hi, I have this error message when I plug my Kobo into my laptop I don't know what it means or how to fix I'm hoping someone can help me

That usually means the database on the device is corrupt. If you have a backup of the database, you can restore it. If not, you will need to sign out of the Kobo account on the device and back in. This will rebuild the database on the device. Unfortunately, you will lose the reading status and any bookmarks/annotations for sideloaded books.

That means something else is going on. It is unlikely that calibre is actually causing the problem. Something else is triggering it.
Thing I can think of are:
Those are the things I can think of off the top of my head. There are probably others. Also, there is some information missing from your report. It is always a good idea to mention which device you have, the firmware version it is running and the version of calibre. There may be something specific about the combination that is causing the problem. For example, if you have a Glo, the internal SD card in these seem to be failing more than other devices. Replacing the card has saved a lot of these devices. |

You might try using the Windows tool to scan and repair the device.
