Newbie's questions
I have fairly new Lux 4. It works OK (except for the fact that the preistalled Webster's dictionary is dated 1913 (sic!).
There are some things that I cannot figure out by myself: 1. How do I highlight more than one word? I tried to drag my finger along a page (as I did with my Sony) but it does not work. 2. What do I need to do and in what program in order to filter by series? When I use Sigil and check metadata, I can see a series name and a volume number, but it seems that my reader does not see it. 3. How do I sort by title by the first word of a title and not by an article, again in Sigil title sort is correct. What do I do wrong? Any advice will be appreciated. |

This is the name of the dictionary, not the date of publication
![]() https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wikti...ctionary,_1913 1) Hold your finger (1-2s) to mark the start of the selection and move it where you want to mark your block of text. 2)Library → choice "By series" : -- I don't know for the rest of the query. Thank you. I do know how to click the button. The issue is that my reader shows that a series has one or two books, when i know that it has more than that. I am afraid, I do something wrong with metadata. But I am not sure what it is that I do wrong. |

I personally use "Calibre" and the series is displayed correctly. Unfortunately, I don't know about Sigil, I'm sorry.
https://calibre-ebook.com/ PS : Don't worry. It's a new device for you, you'll see that in a few days everything will be much clearer. ![]() |

It has been a few months. (I used my previous book for 7 years and loved it, still do. But Sony does not have a lit screen.) |

1. Pocketbook library cannot read epub3 series metadata. Try converting the book to epub2 with calibre.
2. The series metadata is obfuscated: name and content fields are in wrong order. Search this forum about the series problem, there was a good thread about a year ago. |
