Mac Crashed When Opening Calibre 4.0 dmg

I am on Calibre 3.48 and Mac Mojave. I downloaded Calibre 4.0 but when I tried to open DMG the Mac crashed and restarted. I opened 3.48 in debug mode and got the following. Can you help please.

Opening a dmg has nothing to do with calibre, it is done entirely by the operating system. It might be your mac was out of free space or some other temporary condition. Try it again, after the reboot, hopefully it will work this time.

Hi Kovid, tried again and again Mac restarted. I ran a fault diagnosis which showed the following. I am not very technical so any pointers to what I should do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That looks like a kernel panic, deep inside the operating system. Report it to apple. Stick with 3.48 in the meantime, hopefully apple will release a fix soon.

That vaguely looks like an "Antivirus"'s (namely, Intego's) badly programmed kernel extension bringing the system down.

Thank you NiLuJe. I uninstalled Intego and downloaded Calibre 4.0 with no problems.
